Why we need forgiveness

We often wonder why we should forgive a friend, co-worker, family member, or even an enemy. Forgiveness is one of the most important acts you can do as a Christian. But why is it so critical to be able and do this? If we never forgave anyone that did wrong to us we would be so eaten alive by hate, anger, and stress that we couldn't possibly function on a daily basis. God says to forgive your debtors. Meaning those that owe you. Because when someone treats us badly or does wrong to us they are the in debt to us to make it right. Sometimes, actually quit often, it is never made right. If we then decide to dwell on these facts we will never build lasting relationships with anyone because all humans are sinners and we eventually do harm to those we love and care for. Wether intentional or not we will hurt those close to us somehow. God calls us to forgive as he forgave. I would hate to go to the gates at heaven and answer for my sins and be asked if I HONESTLY forgave those who hurt me and couldn't answer yes. God has forgiven me hundreds of thousands of times for my sins, the least I can do is forgive in his name and for his glory. I know it's hard but think about this, God knew mankind was no good so he sent his son to teach us about his ways and pay for our sins. Jesus spent the better part of 20 something years teaching and spreading Gods word, some listened, some didn't. God told Jesus that mankind was horrible and that in order for our lives to be saved he would be the sacrafice. What was the sacrafice of Jesus? It was the final sacrafice of sins. Jesus' blood washed away our sins past, present, and future. God sacrficed his son for my sins so I could be forgiven. Now if I'm to big of a person to forgive someone pitty my soul. God knew we needed forgiveness or we could never truly focus on him. Everything we have is because of Gods forgiveness of our sins. Because if we never forgiven and made accountable for our sins, we would already be suffering HELL. Becuase we are a sinfull people. We are wretched in the eyes of the Lord, but he still forgives us and shows never ending mercy, and love. So why do we need forgiveness? To give glory that God is a GREAT GOD !!! Withou him we would already be doomed to wickedness and strife. Thank you Lord for forgiving my evil and sinfull heart, may I be able to forgive others the same as you forgive me. In your son Jesus Christ's name I pray, AMEN.

Seperation of Church and State

I started this evening reading about gun laws new and old. And as my ADD kicked in I got side tracked to this topic. To me it seems pretty simple, First amendment clearly states " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" it says nothing except congress can't make a law in regards to relegious practice. It also cannot prohibit your right to practice whatever religion you want. It does not say you cannot have religion in schools, government centers-buildings, public places, or anywhere else. So I would challenge anyone to prove to me where it says we cannot have prayer in schools. You do not have to pray. If you do not agree with it being done , oh here's a novel idea, ELECT NEW SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS. Remember the election process. The right of the people to be governed by the people? Quit using our court system to push your agenda. The only reason that this is done is because on merit your stance will not survive a popular election. You know why? because it's not something the majority of the public wants. I am very happy to listen to anyone who can show me something in law not a court decision, that separates church and state. I believe that this country was founded on christian principles, and that we should keep those as they have proven to make us GREAT. If you do not wish to believe as I do AWESOME that is your GOD given right. Yep no where in the Bible does it say you HAVE to believe in GOD. Only if you want to go to heaven do you have to believe. If not I'm OK with it. I don't hate you or think your less of a human. I only think it's absurd that as you try to enforce your right to not believe you infringe on MY RIGHT TO BELIEVE.

Why did we Elect a Black American for President

When we elected Barrack Obama as our new president was it because he's black or is it because we needed a change? I would Like to think it is because of REAL change. If not shame on us as we shamed everything this county stands for. This is not about equal rights and if you think it is YOU are an idiot. This is not part of martin Luther Kings dream!!!!! His dream was a country of equality for all americans. For all Americans to have the same opportunity as their neighbor. He would not want a black president based on the fact of his color. I am sick of people saying that is a great day for equal rights. If we make this about these things we are only continuing the cycle of whos better than who.
